Wearing a waistcoat as a top is a fashion classic, creating an androgynous look.
While waistcoats have always been popular in various fashion subcultures, they have been a trend in recent years thanks to their appearance on a number of runways.
In the 2020 S/S collections of a number of different designers including MaxMara, Louis Vuitton and Celine, they were styled with other tailored pieces like coats, blazers and wide legged trousers.
Since then they have been cropping up on the high street, and we love Jennifer's simple look.
M&S have a similar piece, with the same button detailing going down the front.
Marks and Spencers' have been delivering incredible fashion pieces in recent months, from flattering jeans to winter-ready coats.
"Add a touch of sophistication to your outfits with this cotton-rich velvet waistcoat that's perfect for both smart and casual occasions," says M&S.
"Designed in a flattering tailored fit, it offers added stretch for all-day comfort."
"The double-breasted front, fastened with two neat buttons, adds a touch of sophistication."
The waistcoat comes in sizes UK6-UK24, and is €55. It's available online HERE.
It's got a velvet finish, making it perfect for the upcoming winter and festive season.
Pair it with a black pleated midi skirt and shirt for a work look, or add tailored trousers and heels for an evening out.
