The production of legendary British singer and songwriter Sting announced one of those pieces of news that the music world regrets, and at 73 years of age, the former member of The Police has had to cancel his appearance at the Bass Magazine Awards, where he was to be honored and which will take place this Thursday at The Observatory in Santa Ana, California.
Additionally, in the statement posted on his Instagram page, Sting and his production team made it official that the two concerts that were to be held in Phoenix, Arizona, and Wheatland, California were postponed. This was stated in the social media post:
"On doctor's advice, due to illness, Sting sincerely regrets having to cancel his appearance at the Bass Magazine Awards this Thursday and to postpone his STING 3.0 concerts in Phoenix, Arizona (originally scheduled for January 24) to June 1 and Wheatland, California (originally scheduled for January 26) to May 28, as well as his performance at the 20th anniversary of Cherrytree Music Company, which will now take place on May 29".
What is it about Sting that makes him pause?
It will be until the end of this month while he recovers, that Sting will be able to return to the stage for his STING 3.0 tour and his commitments and public appearances, but the question remains whether he suffers from a delicate illness or what would be the reason for taking a break, as far as is known the singer has always been proud of his health and fitness, which he owes to the macrobiotic diet he performs with his wife Trudie Styler and that dispenses almost completely with meat, dairy and sugar, and includes many vegetables and organic cereals, leaving aside processed foods.
Sting promotes self-sufficiency, as he has owned a farm in Wiltshire since 1991 called Lake House Farm where they grow their own food, have free-range chickens, fish their own trout and collect their own bee honey.
So it must be completely ruled out that the reason for the 'emergency' that led him to postpone his concerts and performances is related to food, since Sting even takes his own chef on all his tours. The reason for the emergency was not specified and was officially left as 'on the advice of his doctor'.
