Netflix’s conspiracy thriller The Madness stayed atop the U.S. streaming charts in the first week of December.

The series starring Colman Domingo grabbed 1.48 billion minutes of viewing time for the week of Dec. 2-8, Nielsen says, marking its second week as the No. 1 overall title. The Madness and Bluey (1.01 billion minutes of viewing on Disney+) were the only two streaming shows to top a billion minutes for the week.

Paramount+ continued to get strong showings from Landman — whose 773 million minutes of viewing are a high so far — and Lioness, which hit a series high of 692 million viewing minutes in the week leading up to its Dec. 8 season finale. The two shows ranked third and fourth among original series for the week, while Tulsa King (385 million) placed ninth among originals, hanging in the top 10 two-plus weeks after its season ended.

The Keira Knightley-led spy drama Black Doves scored the biggest premiere of the week, racking up 899 million minutes of watch time after its Dec. 5 debut on Netflix. After premiering to 1.15 billion minutes a week earlier, Netflix’s docuseries Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenet Ramsey? fell by 65 percent to 402 million minutes. Lindsay Lohan’s Christmas movie Our Little Secret (603 million minutes) led a holiday-heavy movie top 10.

Nielsen’s streaming ratings cover viewing on TV sets only and don’t include minutes watched on computers or mobile devices. The ratings only measure U.S. audiences, not those in other countries. The top streaming titles for Dec. 2-8, 2024, are below.
