Weeks after having to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing due to a foot injury, Amy Dowden faces another professional hurdle.
The Welsh dancer had taken part in a Celebrity MasterChef Christmas special featuring fellow Strictly professionals Gorka Marquez, Kai Widdrington, and Nancy Xu.
However, following claims of improper conduct by MasterChef host Gregg Wallace toward multiple women, the BBC has decided not to air the show, including another festive edition of Celebrity MasterChef.
Discussing her feelings about the situation with Christine Lampard on ITV's Lorraine, which aired Friday, December 6, Amy expressed her regret.
"I'm gutted about that," she confided to Christine. "I did have a lovely time but I can't comment further about that as it is under investigation. I'm actually gutted, I can't say I'm the best chef but I did my best," reports Wales Online.
Amy was also on the morning programme to promote Crohn's and Colitis Awareness Week, taking place in the first week of December. She aimed to raise awareness about inflammatory bowel diseases, an ailment she has dealt with since youth.
She discussed balancing her condition with a highly visible dancing career, mentioning that many people are unaware she still suffers from the disease, particularly in light of her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment last year.
Looking forward to the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing semi-final, injured dancer Amy, who had just returned following her breast cancer treatment, spoke about how she prepared for the competition with JB Gill. Now, Lauren Oakley will step in as his partner due to Amy's forced withdrawal.
Amy expressed confidence in JB's abilities, stating: "The first time I took hold of JB and did a few steps I knew he had the potential, the talent, musicality, the groove in his body and I think he will be in that final."
Remaining supportive despite her absence, Amy shared: "We speak most days and I'll be cheering him on."
Lorraine is on ITV1 weekdays at 9am and on ITVX
