Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland has shared his true thoughts on the judges' scores and comments about his Quickstep routine last weekend. Despite many fans claiming it was his best performance yet, the 47-year-old and his dance partner Dianne Buswell found themselves second bottom of the leaderboard with a score of 32 out of 40.
Head judge Shirley Ballas commented that while his dance was "joyous" to watch, he needed to improve his frame. Anton Du Beke echoed Shirley's words, adding: "It was so close to be wonderful, but it's not quite."
Craig Revel Horwood, known for his tough critique, noted that Chris' posture "suffered" in the routine, but commended him for his acting skills and movement. Lastly, Motsi Mabuse praised the contestant for his "excellent energy" and said his timing was spot on.

In his new column with The Telegraph, Chris reflected on the performance and feedback, saying: "Last week's naval-themed Quickstep wasn't exactly plain sailing.
"We received just 32 points from the judges, which is far from perfect."
The comedian, who is the show's first ever blind contestant, went on to say he was "surprised" by the comments as he felt his posture and frame were good.
He added: "It didn't feel like it was as big an issue as they were making out... but what do I know... they're the experts!".

Chris also highlighted the challenge of taking the judges' comments into consideration as he can't watch his dances back and can only rely on Dianne's instructions.
"I thought the posture was decent for a fella who had never danced until a few months ago," he continued.
With one more stage to go until the final, viewers will see the remaining dance pairs tackle not one, but two routines.
Chris acknowledges that doubling the workload is "a challenge", but is feeling optimistic about his lively Charleston to When You're Smiling and an emotive Viennese Waltz to Metallica's epic track Nothing Else Matters.
"It's a beautiful song with a dark edginess. I love a bit of heavy-metal. I probably own more guitars than I know chords, mind," Chris revealed.
"But that's the music that I grew up on. I remember me and my mate Neil, age 15, screaming the words to a Nirvana song in his bedroom. Let's just say, his neighbour wasn't best impressed!".
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One.
