Oti Mabuse revealed sister Motsi had a one-word response when she announced she planned to head into the jungle for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!.
The former Strictly Come Dancing professional, 34, is among the celebrities who flew Down Under for the hit ITV show this year. But when she first told her sister, Motsi, was not keen on the move.
Speaking to The Sun’s TV Mag, Oti said: “Motsi literally went: ‘Noooooooooooo!’ – the longest no you’ve ever heard. I said to her: ‘You said the exact same thing about Strictly! You literally said no.
“’So it’s a good sign. If you say no, I’m going to do it! And now she’s really excited. She’s been giving me advice. She’s been a brilliant older sister.”
Oti says appearing on I’m A Celeb is a “dream come true” after she began watching the show when she moved to the UK to appear on Strictly. She says she has previously told husband Marius Iepure she is “destined” to appear on the show.
Oti appeared on Germany’s Let’s Dance for two series before joining Strictly. She won the show back-to-back in 2019 and 2020, with Kelvin Fletcher and Bill Bailey.

She joined ITV rival show Dancing on Ice as a judge in 2022. Sister Motsi meanwhile joined Strictly as a judge in 2019, replacing Darcey Bussell.
South African-born Oti became a mum for the first time last year. Ahead of her stint on I’m A Celeb, she said she would “definitely miss” her family.
But Marius, her mum, and the young tot are set to fly out to Australia to show their support. She says the child - who the couple haven’t publicly named - will just have to “have fun with daddy” while she’s in the jungle.
Oti however says she has “planned every day down to a tee” while she is away. Her daughter, she says, has been a motivator for taking part in I’m A Celeb.
While she admits she is “quite adventurous”, she says becoming a mum means you “lose yourself a little bit”. She hopes taking part will be “that little push that’s going to spark something new again in me.”
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues on ITV One at 9pm tonight.
