TV personality and matriarch of the UK's largest family, Sue Radford, 49, is approaching a major birthday - and she isn't planning on holding back when it comes to celebrating. The star of 22 Kids and Counting will turn 50 this March, and she told The Mirror that for the landmark birthday she will be stretching out the celebrations all year long and that some of her plans will include the rest of the vast Radford family.
Sue and her husband Noel, 54, share children ranging from their mid-30s, all the way to four-year-old Heidie, who has just started at school, leaving Sue with an empty home in the daytime for the first time in decades. However, the whole family will be embarking on a trip to remember to kick off Sue's birthday celebrations: with the Radfords planning to jet off to Florida for a trip to Disney.

"We are going to do a big 50th holiday with all the kids and the grandkids, to Disney. We will go in the Easter break. The kids all love it and the grandkids do too," Sue explained, and the partners of her children are also due to come along for the trip too, which will surely make them a force to be reckoned with as they queue up for the rides and attractions.
Despite the fact that Sue is a little daunted to be approaching her 50th birthday, she plans to make the most of the landmark year, and celebrate for the whole twelve months that mark the new decade she is entering in her life. "Turning 50 is such a big deal. I remember when I was 40 and that was a big deal. I absolutely hated it! So [this time], I said: 'You know what, because I am turning 50, I am definitely having a whole year of celebrations!' I think if you are going to turn 50, to soften the blow a little bit, it's got to be big…It will be nice to do a few things!"
Another treat that Sue will be enjoying for her 50th will be a romantic couple's trip with her husband Noel, who she has been with since she was a teenager. The couple first got together when Sue was only 13, and Noel was 17 - a point of controversy for some viewers of their hit TV shows. The pair have been going strong ever since, and are set to appear in a new series of their popular reality show - 22 Kids and a Wedding - which airs on Channel 5 on Sunday evenings.
