SZA gave a heartfelt dedication to her "friend" Mac Miller, aligned with the late rapper's second posthumous album, Balloonerism.

Upon the album's release on Friday (Jan. 18), SZA, who's featured on "DJ's Chord Organ," shared a screenshot of the Balloonerism Apple Music tracklist on X.

"I love my friend I miss my friend," the four-time Grammy winner wrote. "Grateful he saw something in me before most and treated me w love from day 1 . Wish he could see how right ab everything he truly was . Please go stream Balloonerism RIGHT NOW . 🙏🏾✨🫀"

Produced by Miller, "DJ's Chord Organ" was possibly made around the same time as "U R" and "Warm Winds," also Miller-produced from SZA's 2014 mixtape, Z. In 2014, SZA and Miller performed "U R" live at Red Bull Studios in Los Angeles, where the Pittsburgh native backed SZA on the guitar.

Balloonerism comes five years after Miller's first posthumous album, Circles, which was released nearly two years after the rapper's death from a drug overdose in 2018. Miller was 26.

"We believe the project showcases both the breadth of his musical talents and fearlessness as an artist,” the Miller estate wrote in a statement last year.
Given that unofficial versions of the album have circulated online for years and that releasing Balloonerism was something that Malcolm frequently expressed being important to him, we felt it most appropriate to present an official version of the project to the world."
