T-Pain Addresses Backlash For New Song With Mark Zuckerberg: “Go Outside”

T-Pain thought he was doing something fun and sentimental when he joined Mark Zuckerberg on a remix of “Get Low” by Lil Jon, but some internet users thought otherwise. The 40-year-old artist has now addressed the backlash he received for the track.

“It is impossible for some people to have fun,” he said in a video. “I’ve learned how to not worry about what y’all are talking about.” In a second video, he asked “Why y’all hate happiness so much? Y’all don’t like when people do wholesome things, y’all don’t like when people do stuff for their wives.”

This is important context, as the entire premise of the “Get Low” remix was the fact that the song was playing when the Meta CEO first met his wife at a college party. They listen to the track every year in honor of their dating anniversary, but this year he upped the ante with the remix alongside the Tallahassee, Fla. artist.

T-Pain continued his rant, bringing up how fans never have issues with him working with artists who are drug dealers, have a criminal history, or have harmed people. “When motherf**kers actually doing something good, in their god damn life then all of a sudden, I need to distance myself,” he exclaimed. “Shut the hell up! Shut up!” In true 2020s fashion, he encouraged people to “go outside and look at birds.”

Some of his critics didn’t waver and even stated they did not have time to go outside, which prompted him to make a third video. “What the f**k you doing on your phone right now, looking at T-Pain?” he asked. “How the f**k did you just see all three of these videos? That’s three minutes of your motherf**kin’ time you could have been actually doing this sh*t you said you ain’t have time [for].”

Despite the negativity, it’s been a great time for the “I’m Sprung” artist. He was recently immortalized in his hometown of Tallahassee, Fla. as they changed Pasco Street to T-Pain Lane in honor of the two-time Grammy winner. He was also given the key to the city hours before performing in Cascades Park.
