Target currently has recalls for five foods sold in states across the country based on FDA recalls of the same products.
Target has said: "Our guests, your safety, is our highest priority. For this reason, we maintain a comprehensive list of our recalled products."
Lay's Classic Potato Chips
Lay's Classic Party Sized bags of potato chips were recalled at Target stores on December 18 following a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recall of the products in Oregon and Washington.
Frito-Lay announced that these products would be recalled on December 16, stating: "Frito-Lay today issued a recall of a limited number of 13 oz. bags of Lay's Classic Potato Chips that may contain undeclared milk, after being alerted through a consumer contact.
"Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product."
Frito-Lay explained that the product was distributed to certain retail and e-commerce distributors in Oregon and Washington, and that no other Lay's products are recalled.

MadeGood Granola Bars
Several MadeGood Granola Bars distributed across the United States and Canada were recalled at Target stores on December 9 following an FDA recall due to the "potential presence of a piece of metal in the product, which, if consumed, may result in a safety hazard."
The products recalled by the FDA are MadeGood's: Chocolate Chip Granola Bars, Mixed Berry Granola Bars, Strawberry Granola Bars, Cookies & Crème Granola Bars, Chocolate Banana Granola Bars, Chocolate Drizzled Birthday Cake Granola Bars, Chocolate Drizzled Cookie Crumble Granola Bars, and Chocolate Drizzled Vanilla Granola Bars.
On December 9, the day of the recall, Riverside Natural Foods, the manufacturers of MadeGood Granola Bars, said: "Riverside has conducted an extensive investigation where the recalled products were manufactured and has identified the source of the issue in the manufacturing process. The company has remediated the issue and tested the new processes to ensure that any future risk is fully mitigated"
A spokesperson for MadeGood told Newsweek: "Upon receiving a small number of consumer complaints, we conducted an extensive internal investigation and identified that the metal piece originated from a brush that is used to deep-clean the oven conveyor used in our granola-making process. In each instance, the metal bristle had come loose during the sanitation process and had transferred to the conveyor belt where the granola was placed after baking.
"To remediate the situation, we no longer use the brush that sourced the bristles, we have implemented additional safeguards in the sanitation process, and we have enhanced our metal detection process for finished goods. We've tested the new processes to ensure that any risk of future contamination is mitigated. Our investigation was thorough, and we have taken every measure to ensure the safety of all our products."
