Taylor Swift dramatically interrupted one of her songs during the Eras Tour in Toronto to pay homage to the crowd as it finally begins to dawn on the 34-year-old pop star that the show is finally coming to an end.
The show will conclude on December 8 and will close almost two years of touring from the star, in what has been one of the most successful tours in the history of music and surpassed over a billion dollars in revenue.
So as she prepares to say goodbye with shows in Toronto and Vancouver, choosing to end her marathon in Canada, she paid tribute to the crowd during the middle of Champagne Problems from her Evermore album.
"Toronto, my band and fellow performers and I," Swift said of Champagne Problems to the crowd through the cheering. "We only get to play this show eight more times after tonight,"
"And the fact that you would do that for us, I guarantee you that we will never forget, thank you so much."
It came as she received a three-minute standing ovation from the audiences at the Rogers Centre, home of the MLB's Toronto Blue Jays, as she performed on November 14.
Interestingly, the ovation is somewhat a competition among Swifties at the moment with each venue competing to see if they can out-cheer the other during the Champagne Problems track with Toronto's opening night specifically clocking in at 2:57.
Fans were treated too as the Grammy-winning artist also performed My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys, This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, False God, and Tis The Damn Season from her surprise song feature.
When and where does the Eras Tour end?
The Eras Tour will end for good in British Colombia on December 8 when Swift and her posse arrive to Vancouver.
They will perform at the BC Place, home of the MLS' Vancouver Whitecaps, on December 6 and will perform for three nights as she says an emotional farewell to her biggest career venture to date.
