Taylor Swift proved that she’s not only a global pop star, she’s also a generous queen. For almost two years, the 34-year-old star toured the globe, earning $2,077,618,725 in ticket sales alone, per The New York Times — and she’s not keeping all of the jackpot for herself.
Swift is gifting her Eras Tour cast and crew with a massive bonus for their hard work in helping her to achieve her dream. People revealed that she gave out $197 million to her “truck drivers, caterers, instrument techs, merch team, lighting, sound, production staff and assistants, carpenters, dancers, band, security, choreographers, pyrotechnics, riggers, hair, make-up, wardrobe, physical therapists and video team.”

This is the second round of bonuses because she gave out $55 million to her team after the North American leg wrapped up in August 2023. Swift shared her gratitude on Saturday, Nov. 23 while on a final show in Toronto, Canada. “My band, my crew, all my fellow performers,” she told the audience. “We have put so much of our lives into this, and you put so much of your lives into being with us tonight and to giving us that moment that we will never forget.”
When Swift gave out the additional funds in 2023, it was a family affair, accordion to the Today show. “Her father was the one that actually presented the checks to our drivers,” Shomotion trucking company CEO Mike Scherkenbach told the morning news show. “And he presented handwritten letters from Taylor. It’s incredible that they would take that time, and what it means to our staff to be recognized.”
Swift’s kind actions show how much she appreciates everyone who put the effort into making the Eras Tour a show-stopping blast. She also gave a shout out to the loyal Swifties at her final tour stop in Vancouver, Canada on Dec. 8. “I want to thank every single one of you for being a part of the most thrilling chapter of my life so far,” she said.
It’s a moment in time the music world will never forget.
