Taylor Swift Video Sparks Outrage at Kansas City Chiefs Game

A video of Taylor Swift arriving at a Kansas City Chiefs game has sparked outrage after the pop superstar's security asked photographers to stand up, with many assuming it was so they couldn't take photos underneath her skirt.

Swift arrived at Sunday's game to watch her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, play against the Denver Broncos. As is often the case when the singer attends a game, hordes of photographers were waiting for her arrival at Arrowhead Stadium—and they were given direct orders by her team.

It is typical for those in front of the press pack to crouch down so that they do not obscure the view of the reporters and photographers behind them, but on Sunday, this wasn't allowed. In a video that has been posted online—and has since gone viral—her security can be seen walking ahead of Swift and telling photographers to "stand up" as she walks past to enter the VIP suite at the stadium.

As Swift passed the photographers, one went down to kneel again, which resulted in one of Swift's security guards directly telling him to "stand up" as Swift entered the premises.

Newsweek emailed a spokesperson for Swift for comment on Monday outside of normal business hours.

A video of the moment was posted to X (formerly Twitter) by user @wibwKatie, where it had 1.1 million views at the time of writing, and it has since been reshared by various other accounts. While it hasn't been confirmed that any of the photographers were trying to take a photo up Swift's skirt, speculation has run rampant.

User @SavLovesSwift reposted the clip to the social media website with the caption: "Her security yelling at the photographers to stand up so they can't take photos under her skirt :( welcome to being a woman." At the time of writing, the post had been viewed 12.8 million times.

X user @TayvisEra1989 also reshared the video and wrote: "Queen Taylor is in the building! Kudos to Drew & the rest of Tay's security team for telling those photographers to stand up so they can't take photos under her skirt. Nope, not on their watch."

"oh my god what happened here??? the way they're like STAND UP STAND UP to that guy and taylor slows down super cautiously? what's the context?" @taylorisdownbad commented, to which @deedeedott replied: "She's wearing a short skirt, he told the photographers to stand up to they don't get photos up her skirt basically."

User @wishescametrue added: "taylor's security said 'stand up' to someone and then taylor warily and noticeably slowed her walk to tiny steps ... i assume it's because they were attempting to take pictures up her skirt. our sexually exploitative society is disgusting."

Swift has attended all five Chiefs home games this season and on Sunday, she cheered for Kelce when he caught the football in the endzone, breaking an NFL record with his catch.

"There it is! The all-time Chiefs leading touchdown receiver! From [Patrick] Mahomes. That will give you something to sing about," CBS announcer Kevin Harlan said.

For his part, Kelce has also been seen among the crowd at several stops on Swift's record-breaking Eras Tour, which has taken her around the world for more than 18 months and saw her wrap the U.S. leg on November 3 in Indianapolis.

A video of the athlete leaving his girlfriend's second Indianapolis show while being followed by a camera crew recently went viral, strengthening theories that the pop star is filming a documentary about her tour.

This isn't the only clip of Kelce supporting his girlfriend that has gone viral. A video on TikTok showed the tight end smiling and dancing to "So High School" alongside Swift's mom.
