Teddi Mellencamp paid tribute to her estranged husband Ewin Arroyave nearly two months after publicly announcing she filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage.

In a post shared to Instagram, the former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star thanked Arroyave for bringing his daughter into her life and thus spawning her own desire to become a mother.

In addition to Arroyave’s teen daughter, Isabella, the former couple are parents to children, Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4.

Teddi Mellencamp Said Edwin Arroyave Gave Her the ‘Greatest Gift’

On December 26, 2024, Mellencamp, 43, posted three throwback photos of her and Arroyave from their early days together. She captioned the pics to reflect on her 16 years with the Skyline Security Management CEO.

“16 years ago me and @edwinarroyaveofficial met,” Mellencamp wrote. “I will forever be grateful for that night at Coco Deville. I would never have known I wanted kids until meeting my amazing stepdaughter, Isabella. My love for her changed my life and 5 years later came Slate, then Cruz, and then our miracle baby Dove in 2020.”

Mellencamp concluded her post by admitting that she has made mistakes but is grateful for her role as a mother. “I may be far from perfect but being a mother has been the greatest gift you could have given me. Thank you always and forever,” she wrote to her ex.

Mellencamp and Arroyave wed in 2011. The new post comes nearly two months after the former Bravo star announced the end of their marriage. On November 1, Mellencamp took to Instagram to announce that she “made the difficult decision to file for divorce.”

The former RHOBH star added, “My priority is my children and ensure that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.”

Teddi Mellencamp Posted an Emotional Video as She Spent Christmas Alone

Mellencamp’s tribute to Arroyave came a day after she spent a lonely Christmas without her kids. In a video post shared to Instagram, the accountability coach channeled the 2001 movie “Bridget Jones’s Diary.” Mellencamp wore green pajamas as she sang Celine Dion’s version of the Eric Carmen song “All by Myself.”

“In my Bridget Jones era. If I didn’t laugh at myself, I would cry,” she captioned the clip. “First Christmas without my kids, and I know they’re in great hands with an amazing dad, but that doesn’t mean I can’t feel some type of way.”

Mellencamp also shared that she spent the lonely day eating Thai food and cookie dough and binging the TV series “Special Ops: Lioness.”

Mellencamp’s former RHOBH cos-tar Kyle Richards posted a comment to note that Mellencamp was staying at her house in Encino, California. “Ted! Also, watching you do this in my bedroom is making me LOL Love you xx,” Richards wrote.

“@kylerichards18 with the fireplace and the cozy Christmas tree. I am lucky to have friends like you,” Mellencamp replied.

Mellencamp explained her living situation on the premiere episode of the “Diamonds in the Rough” podcast with co-host Erika Jayne. “So, I live at Kyle’s,” she revealed during the December 5, 2024, podcast episode.

Mellencamp explained that she switched with Arroyave to stay at their family home with their three kids, and that on her nights without her children, she stayed in a guest room at Richards’ Encino estate. “I just zip on over. It’s close, easy,” Mellencamp explained. “It does work out really well for the kids because, you know, we’re right around the corner, and you know, everything’s on the calendar. They know exactly when I come and go, vice versa.“

Richards, who is currently separated from her husband Mauricio Umansky, told E! News she was “sad” about Mellencamp’s separation from Arroyave. “I see two people that I know once really loved each other very much—and I’m sure still do—and have this beautiful family and you see them go through something like this,” she said in November.
