Teddi Mellencamp endured her first Christmas without her three kids on Wednesday, and she took to her Instagram page to chronicle the journey.
Nearly two months after she and Edwin Arroyave, 47, announced plans for divorce amid rumors suggesting that Teddi, 43, had engaged in an affair with horse trainer Simon Schroeder, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared a video of herself singing Celine Dion‘s “All By Myself” as she opened up about her holiday heartache.
“In my Bridget Jones era. If I didn’t laugh at myself, I would cry,” Teddi began in the caption of her December 25 post on Instagram. “First Christmas without my kids, and I know they’re in great hands with an amazing dad, but that doesn’t mean I can’t feel some type of way.”
As RHOBH fans well know, Teddi and Edwin share three children, including daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 4, and son Cruz, 10.
“Ordered $74 of Thai food, eating cookie dough (who has time to bake) and watched 9 episodes of Lioness,” Teddi continued, also including a clip from Bridget Jones’s Diary that included Renée Zellweger’s character drinking wine in bed.
“To all my parents out there going through this, I love you. What are all the tips for powering through?” Teddi added.
Following the sharing of the post, Kyle Richards, 55, who Teddi moved in with after she and Edwin split, offered a comment.
“Ted! Also, watching you do this in my bedroom is making me LOL Love you xx,” she wrote.
“You’re killing me. You’re making me sad and laugh at the same time,” noted Tamra Judge, 57.
“Story of my life,” Teddi replied.
Teddi was also sent messages by Caroline Stanbury, 48, and Jana Kramer, 41.
“It gets easier and now I am sitting with my kids and my ex-husband having an amazing Christmas again,” Caroline noted.
“Sending love. The first one was brutal and I wish I could say it gets easier but even new husband and a baby and it’s still not normal to not have all your babies under one roof on Christmas. Sending love. You got this momma,” added Jana.
Teddi Mellencamp starred on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from season eight through season 10.
