RHOSLC’s Bronwyn Newport is known for keeping her composure – or so her husband, Todd Bradley, would hope. The star’s been in for one heck of a ride during her first season on the Bravo show. It turns out her life away from he cameras isn’t any less chaotic as she recently endured a terrifying dog attack.

Bronwyn, a newbie to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, has had her life on full display during season 5. The reality TV star has had to publicly defend her marriage. It seems Bronwyn isn’t getting a minute’s peace as now she’s speaking out about a wild incident that left her with “37 puncture wounds.”

Bronwyn Newport ‘totally freaked out’ in dog attack

For anyone who didn’t know about Bronwyn’s boxer dog obsession already, the RHOSLC star is a canine lover.

She has six boxer dogs in total, so is used to having four-legged friends around. But, a dog attack in a park back in April this year saw her “totally freaking out.”

Bronwyn admits, speaking to People, she thinks she made the situation “worse” because she “lost it,” after a dog “suddenly circled around and lunged toward her.”

While walking one of her own dogs, another dog was unleashed at the park and she went to “pet” him.

Bronwyn says the dog “bit her behind the knee” and “everything escalated from there.”

The RHOSLC explains how after being bitten behind her leg, she received another bite to the “other side of her calf, her other leg on the thigh,” as well as her “right arm.”

She adds: “I could not get him off.”

A bystander reportedly intervened and helped get the dog off the star.

In total, Bronwyn suffered 37 separate puncture wounds and had to go to the emergency room. She endured a hairline fracture on one of her arms and had to have stitches on her arm and leg.

RHOSLC star isn’t pressing charges

Despite ending up hospitalized due to the dog attack, Bronwyn explained how she “felt for” the canine.

She reportedly later found out the unattended dog was one in foster care. The dog’s owner was taking a phone call at the time of the incident.

Bronwyn added how the dog also had medical issues that contributed to its behavior at the park.

The incident shook the Bravo star. She explains she “was terrified of dogs for a long time afterward.”

She added how she didn’t press charges following the attack and Todd paid for the dog’s treatment, as well as ensuring it was placed in a “proper home” and “better environment.”

She explained: “
the most important thing to me is that the dog is doing well and I’m doing well.”
