This year, Sony celebrated its 30th anniversary for the original release of the PlayStation. The console came out in Japan on December 3, 1994. Soon after the world was introduced to Ridge Racer and King’s Field, then eventually console staples like Final Fantasy VII. In order to honor its history and origins, Sony released a new colorway for its PlayStation 5 console which has the retro gray palette along with the original colors for the cross, circle, square, and triangle buttons. These sold out super fast, but it appears some folks regretted their purchase for one reason or another. This isn’t so much a “deal” in terms of price as it is just an extra shot at getting something cool for which the window had already closed one. The standard DualSense controller for PlayStation 5 is $80. The 30th Anniversary Limited Edition controller had been priced at $190, with a $12 discount. So that’s still $178 for what is a used controller. Though if you are interested in owning this unique and rare collector’s item, this might be your best shot at getting one.
Immersive Controls
The PlayStation 5 DualSense has some major advancements over the PlayStation controller of the previous generation. One of which are its adaptive triggers. The left and right triggers can react to what’s happening in game, causing the needed pressure to pull back the trigger change on the fly to better represent the circumstance on screen.
