A former contestant from “The Bachelor” is receiving a lot of love and support from franchise fans and alums after the devastating death of her father. Kelley Flanagan took to her Instagram page to share an emotional tribute to her father after he died.

Flanagan received thousands of notes of support after sharing her touching tribute to her father.

One fan wrote, “I don’t know you, but have enjoyed your page and your wonderful family. I’m sorry for your loss.”

Kelley Flanagan Wrote About Her Father’s ‘Amazing Legacy’

On December 25, Flanagan shared 20 photos and a lengthy caption on Instagram. The photos included highlights of Flanagan’s time with her father over the years. Some showed her as a very young girl, and others were more recent.

“Dear Dad, I want to thank you for being the absolute best to mom and all 6 of us kids,” Flanagan’s caption began.

She continued, “I can’t begin to explain how much we all loved you and how much we appreciated how much you did for us on a daily basis.”

Flanagan added, “I know you’re up in heaven now and are going to watch down on all of us until we meet again.”

“We will all miss you dearly and won’t [forget] the patience you had for each and every one of us. Our house was always chaos and you were the calm soul that somehow handled it with grace,” she wrote.

She noted that her father had held on for the past few weeks, despite being quite ill. Flanagan said she felt he held on until Christmas, which she wrote was his favorite holiday, “so that instead of feeling sadness in the future, your family could celebrate you together.”

Flanagan acknowledged she would be heartbroken over her father’s death. However, she wrote he “would want me to bounce back and celebrate you instead of sadness.”

“I have never [met] a kinder, smarter or more giving soul,” she shared.
