Hayley Palmer has hit out at ex-boyfriend Mark Labbett as their break-up turns bitter.

The 43-year-old Sky TV Music presenter and the 59-year-old quiz expert Mark enjoyed a year long romance after falling for each other in the summer of 2023. But the pair sadly split in May this year - with the break-up coming soon after they celebrated a year of romance together.

But now it seems the pair are enduring something of a public fall out - as each has started to speak out over the break-up. The Chase star Mark - who is known as The Beast on the ITV game show hosted by Bradley Walsh - gave an interview where he reflected on his new "content" single life. But Hayley has seemingly hit back at his comments as "heartless".

Taking to Instagram, she told fans: “I think it’s a shame that someone could say something so heartless over a relationship that lasted over a year. I have moved on and working to be the best version of myself. I think what is actually serious is Mental Health and we should all be working together towards a caring Christmas. X."

After being met with a wall of positive replies, the Saturday Night TV Chat Show star took to Instagram again to thank her fans for backing her. She wrote on Tuesday: "Everybody that has messaged me, I don’t think you understand the full positive impact you have had on my mental healthy at this time, thank you. Your support, kind words and continually being there for me are very appreciative.” And she added a pink heart emoji.

Hayley's posts appeared to be in response to an interview that Mark gave last week where he talked quite bluntly about how he has taken their split. He told The Sun: “I’m just quite content being on my own. Facts are easy. Numbers are easy. People are complicated."

The Chase star added: “I could sum me up as the kind of guy who could tell you the capital of Estonia is Tallinn but would have no idea why that pretty girl is giving me a funny half-smile. That’s why I never played poker seriously, because I realised I can’t read people.”

Hayley had announced their split in May this year, taking to social media to reveal: "It is with regret I announce that myself and Mark have gone our separate ways. We had the best year together, and I truly wish him all the very best for the future." She went on to reveal she was turning to music to try to lift her spirits, writing: "Off I go to listen to Taylor Swift " accompanied by a broken heart emoji.
