The FBI paid a visit to Ben Affleck’s home amid the LA wildfires

FBI agents were spotted at Ben Affleck‘s rental property in Brentwood, an upscale Los Angeles neighborhood, this Sunday (Jan. 12, 2025).

While agents were photographed outside the actor's residence, there's no cause for concern regarding Affleck. FBI spokesperson Laura Eimiller verified the agents' presence in the area.

“Members of the FBI's Ground Intercept task force are conducting activity in the area of the Palisades fire. Agents and our local partners may be visible throughout the area, including at residences, for this reason,” Eimiller explained.

Whether Affleck was present during the agents' visit remains unknown. Reports indicate the agents departed after spending some time at the location.

Recently, Affleck was captured in photographs sharing a tender moment with his oldest child, Violet, 19, near the rental property. Before their August divorce filing, this residence previously served as his home with his former spouse, Jennifer Lopez. Summer photographs revealed a moving truck departing from the Los Angeles property.

Before finalizing their separation, the pair listed their Beverly Hills estate for $68 million. The property remains available for purchase. The couple's divorce was completed earlier this month.

Reports from July indicate Affleck acquired a new Pacific Palisades residence for over $20 million. Unlike many other celebrity homes in the area, his property reportedly escaped damage from the Palisades Fire.

Jennifer Garner, Affleck's former wife and mother to his three children, became tearful during an MSNBC interview while discussing the Pacific Palisades fire situation.

“I've lived in and around the Palisades for 25 years,” Garner said on camera, sharing the importance of helping out her community. “My heart bleeds for my friends… And there are 5,000 homes lost,” she said. “I could just write out a list of 100 friends who lost their homes.”

“I feel almost guilty walking through my house… What can I do? How can I help? What can I offer? What do I have to offer with these hands and these walls and the safety that I have?”

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection reports three active fires in Los Angeles: the Palisades Fire (14% contained), the Eaton Fire (33% contained), and Hurst Fire (89% contained). The fires have destroyed over 12,300 structures.
