Warning: Spoilers for ‘The Golden Bachelorette’ season one ahead! Make sure you’re all caught up before reading.
The Golden Bachelorette star Joan Vassos is breaking down how she feels about one of her leading men, Chock Chappele, after the show and some fans might hate what she has to say.
It has been a troubling season for some viewers of the show who said goodbye to several beloved contestants over the course of the last couple of weeks — Charles L, you’ll be missed. After October 23’s hometown dates, Joan has picked her final three and let’s just say fans are having lackluster feelings about all of them.

There’s Pascal whose high-maintenance lifestyle has been divisive for fans — not to mention the alleged twist coming this season that will definitely cause some mixed feelings.
We have Guy who was doing a great job of appearing charming on the show until news broke that his ex-wife attempted to file a temporary protective order against him, claiming he physically threatened her, in 2021 before dropping it.
And then there is Chock who is certainly not holding back with his love for Joan on the show but has been labelled “controlling” and “possessive” by some fans. “Chock is most likely to be the subject of a Dateline mystery,” one fan even wrote on X after hometown dates… yikes!

Though fans have a good idea of who wins The Golden Bachelorette, as usual nothing is confirmed so Joan’s Oct. 23 appearance on The Viall Files podcast might not sit too well with Chock’s biggest critics. Spoiler alert! Joan might be in love with him…
“I was very worried that I might not find anybody,” Joan told former Bachelor Nick Viall of her first night of filming. She recalled that, as the men started to arrive in limos, there were some standout characters who she was able to see a future with off the bat.
“Chock was one of those people,” Joan added. Keep in mind that this podcast was filmed recently, meaning Joan definitely still has nothing but good things to say about Chock!
“Immediately, I loved what he did. The Chock-o-Noodle soup was hilarious,” she said, referencing the gift of homemade chicken noodle soup that Chock brought her. “But the reason that was such a good thing to do is because I realized he went and figured out who I was and what was important to me.”
“He knew the names of all four of my kids,” Joan also remembered. “Some people might call that creepy. Some people, like me, thought ‘Wow he really is interested.'”
Well, let’s hope Chock has some fans who will be happy to hear Joan’s post-show thoughts!
