The Internet Is Calling Pedro Pascal A "Green Flag" After He Posted A Pro-LGBTQ+ Photo

3 hours ago 9

José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal has played quite a few big roles in the last ten years, but the one he plays off-screen surpasses them all.

He was Din Djarin in The Mandolorian.

And he will be Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four.

His involvement in some of the biggest franchises has made him somewhat of an icon for bro culture and male-dominated fandoms who want to be as cool as his characters in Game of Thrones, The Mandalorian, or Gladiator II.

"NEWSFLAS, BROS!" This isn't your regularly scheduled red flag podcast. There's more to Pedro than blaster pistols and swords. His greatest role is the one he plays off-screen: an activist.

On Feb. 23, Pedro posted a photo to his Instagram of a sign that read, "A WORLD WITHOUT TRANS PEOPLE HAS NEVER EXISTED AND NEVER WILL."

He captioned the post, "I can't think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist."

It was met with some backlash from fans who claimed they were "unfollowing" him, but clearly, they need to put down the TV remote and touch some poison ivy.

True Pedro fans who admire the actor beyond his work on-screen as these ruthless, dangerous characters know he's always been vocal about supporting LGBTQ+ people.

Contrary to the haters looking for attention, many fans praised Pedro for once again using his influence and platform to speak out for human rights, without an awards speech or press tour behind it.

"Could his flag get any greener?" one Instagram user wrote.

"I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist. I've never seen it phrased better than this. 100%, glad he stands on business," a Reddit user wrote.

Another Instagram user said, "Damn. Right. And we are better off when everyone lives their authentic life."

“'Not all men' you’re right. Pedro pascal would never," another Reddit user wrote.

Another person on IG said, "People are fr mad at this king for being the greenest flag known to mankind," another user wrote."

This Reddit user wrote, "Pascal is punk. This is what punk is, people. Standing up for average folks against fascism, tyranny and forced conformity."

"Pedro is a national treasure. He's also an immigrant. His parents fled Chile and the Pinochet regime when he was little. He's a fucking shining example of why immigration is important and how wonderful people can be," another Reddit user wrote.

This user wrote, "ty pedro for being a genuine person while still being a celebrity. its refreshing to see someone using their platform for good <3."

"He strikes me as someone who didn't really need a sister in the community to be a supporter of people just trying to live their life in peace. Some of us get it," another person said.

And finally, this Reddit user said, "This man is one of the greatest treasures in Hollywood. Unproblematic king!"

Who knew when Oberyn Martell said this to Tyrion Lannister, he meant for LGBTQ+ rights?
