THE KARDASHIANS has been branded the 'most awkward ten minutes of TV ever' as the show 'dragged back' a sweaty and stressed Lamar Odom nine years after his overdose.

Hulu's sixth season of the family's reboot wasted no time diving into the drama, shocking fans with a reunion between Khloe Kardashian, 40, and her ex-husband, 45.

Khloe and Lamar enjoyed a whirlwind romance, marrying in September 2009 just a month after meeting at a party for his then-Lakers teammate Ron Artest.

Their relationship played out on E!'s Keeping Up With the Kardashians and their spin-off series Khloe & Lamar, but behind the scenes, their marriage was filled with challenges.

Khloe initially filed for divorce in 2013 following Lamar’s DUI arrest, though the legal process stalled.

In 2015, he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel, leaving him in a coma and on life support.

Khloe put the divorce on hold to support his recovery before refiling in 2016.

The divorce was finalized later that year, seemingly closing that chapter of their lives - until now.

The season six premiere sees Khloe reminiscing about her past with Lamar when her best friend Malika Haqq reveals she recently ran into him at the Super Bowl.

This prompts the star to recall that she still has some of his personal items, including his 6th Man of the Year Award, and she decides to return them.

Malika takes the initiative to set up a reunion.

Lamar aoon arrives at her house with flowers, cake, and champagne, but his nerves are apparent.

Sweating and visibly uneasy, he tries to sit close to Khloe, who immediately jokes, “You’re going to sit this close? How are we going to talk to each other?” He quickly moves over.

The conversation takes a nostalgic turn as Lamar asks about her brother Rob Kardashian, teasing that he once thought he and Malika would have ended up together.

Khloe laughs but says she still “has hope”.

As the reunion unfolds, Lamar admits, “I haven’t seen you in so long, you make me nervous.”

Khloe reminds him their last encounter was in 2016 when she was “kicking you out of the Calabasas house".

In a confessional, Khloe reflects on the moment, saying, “Just in this first glance of seeing Lamar, I feel a little bit of, ‘God, this is so familiar,’ and so uncharted at the same time.

"I don’t know this person anymore. It’s just such a mindf**k.”

Khloe presents Lamar with a sentimental gift - a diamond chain with three angel wings symbolizing his late mother, grandmother, and son, who passed away as an infant.

She also returns his mother’s driver’s license and other personal belongings, including his 6th Man Award.

At one point, Lamar blurts out, “My wife is the s**t,” prompting Khloe to shut him down with a simple, “Calm down.”

In a confessional, she acknowledges the deep emotional impact of their past, saying, “I have dealt with so much trauma in this relationship, and this was such the love of my life.

"To learn how to unlove someone, to have to go through that - it’s almost like a death. So him calling me his wife, I mean, words are empty.”

The former NBA star grows emotional, telling Khloe, “I took you through a lot, huh?”

She responds, “It wasn’t the easiest time.”

He then confesses, “I f*ed up… with you. I love you for trying your hardest with me, and that love I don’t think will ever go away. I know it won’t.”

The episode ends on a cliffhanger, teasing more emotional conversations to come.

Next week’s preview hints at an argument between the former couple, while Khloe’s mum Kris Jenner is seen tearing up over her ongoing struggles.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Hulu subscribers agreed the scene made for uncomfortable viewing.

One wrote: "This conversation between Khloe & Lamar is so awkward & he is sweating so much."

Another added: "Oh that was a hard one for Lamar. As much as I feel for him but yhooo he’s put Khloe through so much. And that scene was so awkward and painful."

Someone else said: "Why is Lamar so fidgety and awkward.

Last month, The U.S. Sun revealed how Kris had resorted to enlisting Lamar to the show to help boost ratings.

Khloe's lack of drama and her "boring" lifestyle had become an issue for the upcoming season, an insider claimed.

Kris is dragging Lamar back into the mix because Khloe "has no storyline, zilch," the source continued of the mom of two's recent life.

"She celebrated her 40th birthday, spent time with her kids and hung out with family. She focused on co-parenting and being a mom."

While many fans and even haters find her life enviable, "her simple life is a bit of a problem for the show," the insider explained, adding that viewers want to watch major drama on the reality show.

The insider also told how Khloe's sister Kylie refuses to mention her serious boyfriend, Timothee Chalamet.

Kylie tends to only focus on her Kylie Cosmetics brand on the show.

"It’s tough because they think their work is super interesting but audiences don’t want to hear about it," the insider explained.

But still, Kylie is "in the top tier of the news cycle - not Khloe.

"She was once the viewers' favorite because her life was quite messy, and she was always open and raw on the show. But not now.

"Now the other sisters have less time to film, and in the absence of any love life or drama with Khloe, Kris is resorting to bringing back Lamar and making that the big storyline.

"If it doesn’t secure another season, it’s hoped it’ll boost her podcast."

The U.S. Sun reached out to Khloe's team for comment at the time.

KHLOE'S WILD LOVE LIFE

Khloe's life was once front and center of the show - especially when she discovered then-partner Tristan Thompson was expecting a baby with another woman, fitness trainer Maralee Nichols.

Maralee eventually gave birth to his son Theo, now 2.

At the time, Khloe and Tristan's surrogate was pregnant with their son Tatum, also now two.

Khloe and Tristan also share True, six.

Khloe broke up with Tristan, and has focused on her kids and not her love life ever since.
