In Bart to the Future, Lisa ran for President of the United States.

In one clip from the episode, a news presenter stood in front of a map of the country, showing which states had gone to which party as votes were counted.

While it may look like an unassuming electoral map, the same that rolls around every four years, some die-hard fans of the show were quick to recognise an eerie similarity.

Fans on Twitter pointed out the map shown in the episode is identical to the results map from the 2024 presidential election.

Sure, in the map from the episode a few states are blocked by Lisa and her opponent's images, but the states that are visible are almost exactly the same – with the exception of Virginia – as were was called on November 5, 2024.

But that's not the only uncanny call from that episode – in fact, there are quite a few.

When Vice President Kamala Harris announced her 2024 run for president, many likened it to Lisa's run for president from the 2000 episode of The Simpsons.

While Lisa running for president alone was enough for plenty of fans to cement the theory The Simpsons is prophetic, Harris' October 31 Las Vegas rally took it to a new level.

In the episode, Lisa smiled behind the lectern wearing a purple suit and pearls as she campaigned for president.

There's not much else to say here other than to simply tell you to take a look at what Harris is wearing here.
