EA is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the legendary simulation franchise The Sims in February. While the publisher has yet to reveal The Sims 5, we're getting new updates for its existing games. Here is everything EA has planned for The Sims in the coming weeks.
What's New in The Sims 4 Update?
The Sims 4 will receive a massive update on February 4, adding 70 new items to the game. You'll be able to use a new "Create a Sim" option to customize your sim with new hair and makeup options, including the same for babies. The update will also add new Build Buy items, which include a pirate ship.
On the anniversary day, a free four-week limited-time event called Blast From The Past will go live, rewarding players with items inspired by 2000s pop culture.
What's New in The Sims FreePlay Update?
You can also unlock special rewards over 25 days in The Sims FreePlay's celebration event. The theme is the same as Blast From The Past, where items inspired by the 2000s era will be present in the game. In March, The Sims FreePlay will let players toggle "enhanced lighting" for their home lots.
MySims: Cozy Bundle Gets PC Release Date
Following its release on Nintendo Switch, MySims: Cozy Bundle is being released on PC. The bundle will be launched on March 28, 2025, on Steam, Epic Games Store, and the EA App.
