‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Star Gavin Casalegno Is Married: Meet His Wife, Wedding Details

Gavin Casalegno surprised fans everywhere after announcing his marriage to a woman they didn’t even know he was dating!

That’s right, The Summer I Turned Pretty actor married Cheyanne King, which they revealed via Instagram on Tuesday, November 12. “FOREVER CAPTIVATED BY YOU🕊️,” he captioned the post, tagging his new bride.

Fans were shocked underneath the post’s comments, as Gavin had never confirmed he was in a relationship up until now. One wrote, “okay hard launch !!!!!” while another posted: “UM DIDNT EVEN KNOW HE WAS DATING.”

Although it is not known when they first began their relationship, he was first featured in a blurry image on her Instagram in May 2023 during a trip to Jamaica. Cheyanne has shared several photos of the actor on her social media, although she never revealed his face and referred to him as “luv” and “mine.” He then made an appearance in an Instagram photo that Cheyanne posted from her trip to Asia in September 2023.

His marriage comes two years after he and his longterm girlfriend, model/actress Larsen Thompson, broke up, which J-14 exclusively reported in August 2022. The couple dated for six years, and often posted photos of one another to their social media pages and appeared at red carpet events together.

They first met after Gavin slid into her DMs on Instagram, with Larsen revealing in 2018: “We actually met off of Instagram. We chat with a mutual photographer, and the next week, Gavin and I are shooting with her, and she’s like, ‘Oh, my God, you have to meet this person. You guys would be so cute together,” she recalled. “So, I went onto her photos and saw a picture of Gavin, so I liked it, he saw my like and came onto my Instagram, and he slid into my DMs.”

Following their breakup, Gavin revealed he would “prefer dating someone who isn’t in the social media space at all,” during an interview with Cosmopolitan in June 2023,

He also shared that since his rise to fame from TSITP, he’s felt the need to be “more private.”

“I definitely have just learned to be more private, which is super-interesting because I’m always out in public,” he said. “I had to really learn to navigate my own privacy and well-being.”

He continued, “So, the quick fix for me is just deleting Instagram and all these apps to kind of check out, to be with my family and be with myself, to spend some time with the Lord — that’s really where I thrive.”
