CBS’s reality TV competition The Summit has brought Survivor-like strategic competition to an Amazing Race-style hike up the side of a New Zealand mountain.

The mountain’s terrain presents plenty of challenges, and then the players have to vote to drop one player at each checkpoint, increasing their share of $1 million.

Meanwhile, a helicopter known as the Mountain’s Keeper throws twists to the ground in yellow bags and host Manu Bennett’s stern lectures the group about its progress and rule-following,
