Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have unveiled the latest Netflix project under their Archewell Productions banner and it’s not for the faint of heart. Unlike their intimate six-part docuseries Harry & Meghan, which they executive-produced and starred in, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have stepped behind the camera for their new release.
Titled Polo, the show is a fast-paced and stirring glimpse inside the world of the competitive equestrian sport beloved by the Spare author. As initially reported, Polo will “explore the world of the sport, which is known primarily for its aesthetic and social scene” and “pull the curtain back on the grit and passion of the sport, capturing players and all it takes to compete at the highest level”.

The Montecito-based couple inked a lucrative five-year deal with the streaming conglomerate reportedly worth upwards of AUD $150 million in September 2020. Their biggest success, Harry & Meghan, peeled back the layers and allowed the pair to speak about their departure from the royal family on their own terms. As per Forbes, it currently holds the record for the most viewing time of any Netflix documentary in its debut week with 81.55 million hours watched.
Fans of the couple will be surprised to know that they don’t appear in Polo, however. Instead, and perhaps trying to replicate the success of fellow sports shows like Drive To Survive, the Sussexs are taking a back seat and placing focus on the players—and animals—that make the competition what it is.
“This series offers audiences an unprecedented, behind-the-scenes look into the passion and determination driving some of the world’s elite polo players, revealing the grit behind the glamour,” Prince Harry said about the high-octane series in a press release issued by Netflix. “We’re proud to showcase the true depth and spirit of the sport — and the intensity of its high-stakes moments.”
While Polo is set for a December 10 release date, there’s little information available about the new unscripted lifestyle series “curated” by Markle. Indeed, the Suits alumni will “celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship” in the programme. The trailer drops amid regular solo sightings of Markle and Prince Harry.
Just this week the 43-year-old stepped out alone at a Thanksgiving dinner co-hosted by the Archewell Foundation. For the occasion, Markle wore the Zoe Sleeveless Turtleneck from the modern wardrobe staple brand, Leset.
The wool cashmere knit features a soft tapenade hue, sleeveless finish and slouchy foldover neckline. Thanks to the ‘Meghan Markle effect’, the piece is already sold out in multiple sizes (and currently on sale, too!). Shop the piece while you can, below.
