TV presenter Claudia Winkleman has opened up about an aspect of parenthood that she is finding "horrendous".
The Traitors host, 52, has three children with her husband, film producer Kris Thykier, also 52, and typically keeps her family out of the spotlight. The couple, who got married in 2000, are parents to kids Jake, 21, Matilda, 18, and Arthur, 13.
She has spoken about them on occasion though and shared an update in a recent interview. Claudia spoke about her eldest children now being university students and shared a rule about her TV projects that she has introduced.
The Strictly Come Dancing host shared the update in a new interview with Grazia that was published on Monday evening. Asked the hardest part of being a parent, she told the outlet that "them leaving" was the most difficult aspect, calling it "horrendous".

I don't understand why they don't have that in the baby books, along with all the advice about breastfeeding and how to steam a butternut squash."
She then suggested that children leaving home should be a chapter in those books. She added: "Why can't there be a chapter saying, 'You're going to have these little puffins that you'll love more than life - and then one day, they're off'."
The BAFTA winner later revealed to the outlet that her kids aren't "allowed" to watch her on TV. Claudia said in the interview that her "nobody" in her house watches "anything" that she does, adding that it's "under strict instructions".
She however shared that they "broke rank" and watched the Traitors - which debuted in 2022 and returned for its third series last week - at one point. Claudia teased during the interview that as a result she was "appalled".
It isn't the first time that Claudia has spoken about feeling as though her kids are growing up fast. She previously shared that they had influenced her decision to leave her BBC Radio 2 show last year. Claudia had said that she wanted to spend more time with her kids before they leave home "for good" as they are "growing up inordinately fast".
Announcing her departure in 2023, she told listeners whilst on air: "Time is going too fast. My daughter is getting ready to leave home and she was three about five minutes ago. I still have a little one who wants to be with me, don't know how long that will last, and I just need to be at home more."
