These Golden Bachelor Alums Are Pitching the Spin-Off Bachelor Nation Can’t Stop Talking About

It seems the Golden Bachelor crew isn’t done with love — or reality TV dreams — just yet! Susan Noles, Kathy Swarts, and Nancy Hulkower, who became fast friends as contestants on Gerry Turner’s inaugural season of The Golden Bachelor, are all-in on their vision for a senior edition of Bachelor in Paradise, cheekily dubbed “Golden Paradise” by fans. 

For those who have been living under a rose-less rock, Bachelor in Paradise throws past Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants onto a tropical beach for hookups, heartbreaks, and occasionally, a happy ending. But it’s not all sunscreen and sunsets — the sweaty heat, bug drama (seriously, so many creepy crawlers), and emotional blowouts have garnered their fair share of criticism. Can a mature spin fix the formula? These ladies certainly think so.

“We’ll be there,” Noles, 67, quipped during a chat with Us Weekly at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball. “I love that there would be seniors there [who are] my age, where I could wear a bikini because they’re not going to look any better.” 

Swarts sees the show as more than just sandy drama. “It’s finding love at any age, realizing that life is not over,” she shared. “Get up off the sofa, go do something. They’re not coming knocking at your door. Get up, get your energy going, and find some good ones.”

Hulkower, though, has her non-negotiables. “We talked about it, and I said, ‘I have to have AC,’” she confessed. “We’ve heard about Paradise being hot and having bugs, but I need AC. … I will be wearing a bikini top and a big sarong like a mumu all day.” 

Fans are equally excited but practical about logistics. One commented, “I just want the gals from Gary’s season to meet the guys from Joan’s season. Golden paradise!” Another suggested, “Put them on a cruise ship together or at a resort in Florida. Old folks need access to better amenities and air conditioning.” Honestly, genius.  

Joan Vassos, fresh from her engagement to Chock Chapple on The Golden Bachelorette, is already matchmaking off-camera. But with fans clamoring for this spin-off, Joan pitched herself and Chock as bartenders à la Wells Adams to keep the vibes flowing.
