Samsung is now rolling out a promotional program called the “Galaxy Club” that allows users to buy the Galaxy S25 with the addition of small payments for the promise of any upgrade after 12 months with the device. The new plan promises a Galaxy S25 Ultra for as low as $8/month.
We’ve seen upgrade plans before, and they can be a good deal for the consumer in certain situations. Google once had the Pixel Pass, which was a way to pay monthly and get locked in for an upgrade at some point down the road. The plan was a little limiting, and Google ended up killing the program after a short time.
Samsung seems to be rolling out a similar plan during the launch of the Galaxy S25 series. According to Samsung, the terms are as follows:
With the Galaxy S25 series, we’re introducing the New Galaxy Club early upgrade program. Enroll for $8.33 per month for Galaxy S25 Ultra and S25+, or $6.20 per month for Galaxy S25, and you’ll get the chance to upgrade to the latest Galaxy device any time after 12 months. Samsung will pay your remaining installments or offer a 50% MSRP trade-in credit towards your next upgrade. New Galaxy Club members also receive one year of Samsung Care+ (without Theft and Loss) benefits on us.
It looks like Samsung is offering a pretty decent deal at first glance. Users can get a Galaxy S25 Ultra with an added $8.33 per month, and after 12 months, they can upgrade to the Galaxy S26, presumably. After a year, Samsung will offer you 50% of the phone’s price as trade-in credit if you owe nothing on the device. If you’re still making payments with finance, Samsung will forgive the loan and allow you to upgrade to the newest device.
With that, Samsung is offering a year of Samsung Care+ without theft and loss protection. This plan also differs from other versions in that it seems to be an add-on and not a cheap payment plan.
This could be a good option for those who want to grab a Galaxy S25 Ultra for a monthly cost and add an $8 fee on top, seemingly only resulting in $99.96 spent after 12 months on top of the cost of the phone. Of course, we highly recommend reading the conditions thoroughly before jumping into the program.
Is Galaxy Club a good deal?
On the surface, Galaxy Club doesn’t seem like a bad deal for a couple of reasons. First, upgrading can be stressful, especially since Samsung likes to offer trade-ins at boosted rates during certain events. With the Galaxy Club program, it seems you’re guaranteed a 50% trade-in credit or a paid-off loan. Again, check those terms!
That 50% trade-in means $700 back for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which can be used to get a lower payment on the Galaxy S26. Of course, you could always just pre-order in 2026 and trade your Galaxy S25 for $900 if the current value has anything to say about it.
It seems the Galaxy Club is more of a safety net than anything else, especially if you know you’ll want to upgrade. The Galaxy S25 series is a good lineup of phones, and the S26 may be even better. Still, it’s good to know your options if you plan on buying it.

The Galaxy Club program looks like a good deal for those who want some security in upgrading next year. The $8 spent on the program is already saved during this pre-order program since Samsung is shaving off up to $300 just for pre-ordering. In this instance, it could be a unique option.
