Razer, one of the most popular gaming hardware manufacturers has raised a lot of eyebrows with their recent production introduction at the CES 2025. The company is bringing Ava AI which is an AI gaming copilot created for people to help them improve their gameplay. W
With the permission of the users, the AI will take a thousand of pictures of the screen and then tell the user the process to play a game in an optimized way. In a marketing video shared by Razer, the AI claims that it can analyze millions of simulations within seconds and always have answers for the toughest gaming challenges.
Razer AI gaming copilot: A considerable breakthrough or a weird development?
In a report published by The Verge, Project Ava was fed with a pre-recorded Black Myth Wukong battle. The AI model responded by guiding the users to stay safe from the boss and time attacks precisely. Apart from that, the model was also used for League of Legends where it was able to give suggestions related to spells and items that the player should go for in a particular scenario.
As of now, the responses produced by Ava AI were lagging by a few seconds in the CES exhibition, this could have happened because the prototype was running on a local NVIDIA RTX 4090 GPU with Meta Llama 3.2 LLM in place of cloud. What’s more is that, after every match, Ava also works as a coach for the players by telling them about their strengths and weaknesses.
Having a look at the current scenario, we can say that the AI gaming copilot needs a lot of polishing. And yes a lot of gamers have relied on guides or game walk-throughs in the past just to know how they’ll be able to march forward in a certain game. However, the use of AI to do the same is something new for the gaming fraternity. And it will be interesting to see how the gamers react to the same once it is available for the masses.
