A TikTok momfluencer has been arrested after allegedly torturing her daughter… for GoFundMe donations. Ugh.
The horrifying story comes out of Australia where Queensland Police say they’ve had complaints against the influencer since October 2024. Allegedly, the Brisbane native was going out of her way to get unauthorized prescription and pharmacy medicines to give to her 1-year-old daughter — who didn’t need them. Police believe she was doing this to make her child sick so she could then record videos for her TikTok page for clout — and to “entice monetary donations and online followers”.
Awful…

The scheme had been going on since August 2024, per law officials, as the mommy blogger was documenting her child’s supposed “terminal illness” on the video-sharing platform. She would allegedly drug her baby and then film her in “immense distress and pain” for her page. Horrible.
The way she got ahold of these medications were pretty wild, with legal docs claiming she even included old prescriptions from someone else in her household in her child’s meds. This was all against medical advice that professionals were giving her, too. Insane!
The first people to bring awareness to the mom’s actions were hospital workers who noticed the child experienced “severe emotional and physical distress and harm” during her stay at the medical facility back in October. The police report states:
“Later investigations are alleged to have uncovered the woman carefully concealed her continued efforts to administer the unauthorized medicines until the matter was detected and reported to police by medical staff from a hospital in Brisbane’s south while the child was admitted.”
By January 7, police had allegedly performed tests on the infant for unauthorized medications, and the results came back positive. Further investigation also revealed she’d been receiving donations through GoFundMe — and had garnered over $37,000 USD in donations for her daughter’s “treatment”!
On Thursday, police had enough evidence to arrest the mother and charge her with five counts of administering poison with intent to harm, three counts of preparation to commit crimes with dangerous things, one count each of torture, making child exploitation material, and fraud.
We should note, the social media star’s identity is being kept private by the Queensland authorities for now, but considering she put herself out there so much we imagine it’s only a matter of time before everyone figures out who this is. Plus, they did release bodycam footage of her arrest…
The influencer is due before Brisbane court on Friday. In a public statement, Detective Inspector Paul Dalton said:
“Working in CPIU [Child Protection and Investigation Unit] we are too often faced with the worst offenses against children. We will do everything in our power to remove that child from harm’s way and hold any offender to account. There is no excuse for harming a child, especially not a one-year-old infant who is reliant on others for care and survival.”
So heartbreaking for this poor baby. We hope she makes a full recovery and gets the protection she needs.
