As rumors swirl regarding a start date for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, many of the Hulu show’s cast members are living their best lives and filming season 2 this winter, per an exclusive from TMZ. Jen Affleck is still a star of the show, but she takes to her socials to share why some time away from the public eye was a good move for her.

It looks like it was high time for Jen to take a step away from social media this winter.

As the MomTok star returns to her socials this December, she shares how they were making an impact on her mental health.

She wrote on her IG Stories:

“Choosing to step away from social media has been one of the best things I’ve done for my mental health


“I can’t lie — these months have been some of the toughest I’ve faced, but they’ve also helped me gain clarity about myself, my relationships and the mother and friend I aspire to be,” per Us Weekly.

With Stylecaster reporting that Jen “could be earning up to $2,600 per post,” she may have taken a hit when it comes to her accounts’ financial gain, but she’s trail blazing as a role model by prioritizing her mental health.

Jen made her name on MomTok

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has only propelled Jen and her MomTok friends to further fame.

But, before that, the ladies all made their names on social media.

Jen racked up a whopping 1.7 million TikTok followers and almost 600k on IG before opting to step away from her socials.

The SLMW star is back on the ‘gram now, but she said a break was needed for her “mental health.”
