Tina Knowles claims her social media account was hacked after it was seen liking a post about JAY-Z being sued for rape.
On Monday (Dec. 9), Knowles’ official Instagram account could be seen under the likes of an ABC 7 Chicago post sharing the news that her son-in-law was recently sued for allegedly raping an underaged girl in 2000.
Netizens quickly noticed her name in the likes and immediately began voicing their opinions. “Oooweee…Ms. Tina Knowles must know a little sump’tin???” one account typed. “Not Tina Knowles liking the post, just messy,” another account opined.
Knowles caught wind of the firestorm brewing online, and the 70-year-old returned hours later to address that she was “hacked.” Ms. Tina put a note to her IG, saying, “I was hacked! As you all know, I do not play about my family. So if you see something uncharacteristic of me. Just know that it is not me!”
The post’s caption further elaborated on her pro-family stance, with an even blunter statement. “Please stop playing with me!!!! ‘No weapon formed against my family shall prosper,'” she typed.
On Sunday (Dec. 8) Tony Buzbee refiled an October lawsuit to add JAY-Z’s name. The suit accused Shawn Carter, along with Diddy, of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 at an MTV VMAs afterparty.
Carter released a statement the same day addressing the claims and dismissed the suit as a “blackmail attempt.”
“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case,” he typed in a statement released via Roc Nation.
“You have made a terrible error in judgement thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same,” Hov added. “I’m not from your world. I’m a young man who made it out of the project of Brooklyn. We don’t play these types of games. We have very strict codes and honor… I looks forward to showing you how different I am.”
