A three-year-old's artwork has gone viral online after their parent asked if they should be worried.
Many parents know the feeling of their young child offering them a drawing and saying it depicts something that they cannot possibly decipher, learning simply to nod along.
Redditor Sosta experienced this on a whole new level when his toddler returned home with an artwork made up of red marker and stickers, resembling something out of a horror movie.
He shared the picture to Reddit's r/Funny sub, and wrote: "My 3 year old did this in daycare and says it's me. Should I be worried?"
It showed the outline of a human figure, to which his kid had then added sticker eyes. So far so normal
But the sticker mouth was sideways and filled with sharp teeth, while there were cloud stickers in his stomach. And the only coloring done was with red marker, particularly in the middle section, mouth, and coming from the eyes.
Reddit users were in stitches at the post, which has over 48,000 upvotes since being shared on November 10.
Thousands commented giving their opinions, including one who asked the very important question: "Be fair, is that how you look?"
"I'm worried you may have a case of cloud stomach/sideways mouth," another wrote. "Please get this checked. We're all praying for you."
One began by worrying: "Seriously disturbing," but went on to joke: "No 3-year-old I know can color inside the lines that well."
And another needed more details, asking: "How often are you getting covered in blood from head to toe? Do a lot of butchering?"
Art is known to be hugely beneficial for kids of any age, but with young children it helps develop their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Drawing, painting and cutting with scissors helps contribute to better handwriting, tying shoelaces and even playing sports. Completing an art project can also help boost a child's self-esteem and confidence, according to the report.
