Suri Holmes emotionally supported her mother Katie Holmes as she closed out her Our Town performances, ending her successful stint at the world famous Broadway theater in New York City.

The 18-year-old, who is the daughter of Tom Cruise, was backstage in a puffy green jacket as her mom ended her performances and her Broadway debut, which began all the way back in October 2024.

She starred alongside Jim Parsons, Richard Thomas and Zoey Deutch as the 46-year-old took on the role of Mrs Webb, a protective mother of one of the main characters, in the three-act show as the dubbed "the greatest American play ever written".

Holmes grateful for Suri

Being a protective mother is something Holmes knows a thing or two about after her bitter split from the 62-year-old Scientologist Cruise in June 2012, who did not attend any of her shows.

She previously claimed the Mission Impossible actor would abduct their daughter and feared the influence of Scientology in their lives through intimidation, and she retained custody when the divorce was finalized.

Following the confirmation, Suri has rarely seen her father. PageSix.com reported parent and child haven't met since 2012 and they have no working relationship anymore, a sharp change from his excitement at her birth in 2006.

"Katie has safeguarded Suri," an insider told the publication. "And she's a devoted mum. This is a girl who is a private citizen [Suri]. She hasn't lived her life in public."

The teenager now attends Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh after graduating from LaGuardia High School in June 2024. She's thought to be studying fashion.

And her mom is very proud of her, celebrating her daughter's youth. Most recently, she called Suri her blessing as Holmes turned 46 and was gifted a purple bouquet of flowers from her child.

"I am so grateful for all of my blessings especially my daughter," Holmes posted to Instagram in December 2024."
