Tom Holland and Zendaya are reportedly 'on the same page' about wanting to have children and 'start a family together' after confirming their engagement

Tom Holland and Zendaya are reportedly "on the same page about having kids" and starting a family, according to an insider. The lovebirds sparked engagement rumours when 28 year old Dune star Zendaya was spotted with a dazzling diamond on her ring finger at last Sunday's Golden Globes.

Tom's dad, comedian Dominic Holland, quashed the rumours earlier this week, revealing how "incredibly well prepared" his son was for the proposal. Following their alleged engagement, a source revealed that Tom, also 28, is "absolutely in love with her" and they've discussed starting a family - something they both agree on.

The insider told US Weekly: "Tom really wants to have a family, and [he] and Zendaya are on the same page about having kids and wanting to start a family together."

They added that Tom is "very focused on building a family and his career" and "Tom is [a] very old-school English guy in the way that he wants to have a family and have kids relatively young," reports the Mirror US.

The source also claimed that Zendaya tried to keep the engagement under wraps but "was very excited to show off her ring."

According to the insider, Tom felt it was the right time in his life to propose and is ready to settle down.

The couple had been open about the possibility of engagement, with insiders revealing, "there was never any pressure" and although Zendaya "knew it might have been coming", she "never put pressure on it."

Tom Holland's father confirmed the engagement news in a heartfelt blog post, where he compared his own proposal to Nikki with how meticulously Tom planned his. In a candid Patreon post, Dominic Holland shared, "Tom, as you know by now was very incredibly well prepared. He had purchased a ring.

"He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out... When, where, how, what to say, what to wear... I on the other hand was woefully ill-prepared, almost as though I wasn't taking it seriously."

Dominic also mused that while for many the challenge is affording the ring, he suspects Tom was "more concerned with the stone, its size and clarity, its housing, which jeweller."

The A-listers, who have been an item since 2021, first sparked romance rumours following their on-screen chemistry in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Tom's dad has voiced his concerns about the pressures of fame on his son's relationship, confessing, "I do fret that their combined stardom will amplify their spotlight and the commensurate demands on them and yet they continually confound me by handling everything with aplomb."

He continued, "And even though show-business is a messy place for relationships and particularly so for famous couples as they crash and burn in public and are too numerous to mention, with us an example, with Nikki helming this family and my 'wisdom' on tap and a study in getting things mostly wrong and yet somehow right at the same time, I am completely confident they will make a successful union."
