Tom Holland Says He Googles Girlfriend Zendaya To Make Sure They’re “All Cool”

Everybody’s favourite Babygirl, Tom Holland, got that much more endearing following a vulnerable admission about his relationship with Zendaya.

During an appearance on Samah Dada’s On the Menu podcast on Thursday, the Spiderman actor got candid about his protectiveness, revealing that he constantly Googles his famous girlfriend due to anxiety over her wellbeing.

“I’m not on socials, and I delete [apps] when I’m not using [them],” he said. “So sometimes I—it’s more of a bit of an anxiety thing—but like, I’ll check to see if everything’s good and just make sure we’re all cool.”

“So I just give it a little Google, look [through] the news, and I’m like, ‘She’s good. We’re fine,’”

Recently, footage of the actor went viral for showing off his protective side when his girlfriend was swarmed by fans. As the couple left the Nine Orchard Hotel, Zendaya stopped to sign autographs when things got a little chaotic, prompting Holland to reach out for her and insist the paparazzi make space for her to get to their car.

Having met on the set of the Spiderman franchise in 2016, the couple were first romantically linked in July 2021 when they were photographed kissing after months of speculation about their friendship.

They’ve kept relatively tight-lipped about their relationship in the years since, aside from the odd tidbit. In 2022, Zendaya credited her boyfriend’s “support and love” for keeping her grounded during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, while Holland has openly confessed his adoration.

When asked by Buzzfeed if he felt he had any rizz, Holland joked that he’s glad he already has a girlfriend.

“I’m happy and in love, so I’ve got no need for rizz,” he told the outlet. “I have no rizz whatsoever… I need you to fall in love with me, really, for it to work.”

He also added that his romantic advice was limited. “Probably making a movie with each other,” he said, referencing how he eventually won over Zendaya. “It definitely helps when the characters are falling in love with one another; you can sort of blur the lines a little bit.”
