It’s not like Katie Maloney needed a stamp of approval from Tom Schwartz on her new relationship, but she just got one anyway. The Vanderpump Rules star just opened up about his ex-wife moving on with her new rocker boyfriend, Nick Martin. Fortunately, he had nothing but nice things to say. We know the bar is low, but Schwartzy is once again proving why he’s the superior Tom in the Bravo world.
Tom Schwartz is ‘so happy’ for Katie Maloney

Although some people are concerned about his cheating past, Tom told Page Six that he’s “so happy” for his ex-wife as she embarks on this new chapter.
“I haven’t met her new man, but I’m so happy for her,” Tom told the outlet on the red carpet for the Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala in Beverly Hills last weekend.
He added, “I mean it, I love to see her happy.”
Of course, getting to this point wasn’t easy. The Pump Rules cameras followed the estranged couple in the aftermath of their divorce. Katie admitted that she “normalized bad behavior” by her ex. Then, Tom went and filmed a season of Winter House, where he rebounded with another girl named Katie. These days, Tom said he and Katie are in a good space.
“We’re buddies. We’re not BFFs — I don’t want to overhype it, but we’re cool,” Tom explained.
He continued, “We’re in a good place. We’re buddies again. There’s no friction or tension.”
It’s a relief to know that there’s at least one pair of exes in the Vanderpump Rules universe that can coexist.
