Toni Breidinger NASCAR Announcement Leads To Awkward Danica Patrick Comparison

2 hours ago 5

Toni Breidinger has secured a full-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series seat for 2025 with TRICON Garage. Fans have been quick to react to the news on social media with some making an awkward link to former NASCAR and IndyCar driver Danica Patrick.

Breidinger has previously competed in the ARCA Menards Series and part-time in the Craftsman Truck Series. The Arabic-American driver currently holds the record for the most top-tens of a female in any of the NASCAR series with 27 top-ten finishes.

As well as Breidinger's racing success, she has gained sponsorships from huge names such as CELSIUS, Raising Cane's, and Victoria Secret. This, along with her over 5 million followers on Instagram and TikTok combined, makes her an attractive option for TRICON Garage.

Commenting on her new contract for 2025, Breidinger explained, as previously reported by Newsweek Sports:

"Racing full-time with TRICON is a dream for me. It's been a 15-year process to get here but I'm so excited for this moment and ready to capitalize on it," said Breidinger.

"I wouldn't have this opportunity if it wasn't for Toyota, Raising Cane's, CELSIUS, and Sunoco. I'm beyond grateful to have these partners and team in my corner to take this next step in my career."

Danica Patrick's motorsport career was overall a huge success. She became the first woman to win an IndyCar Series race, to secure a NASCAR Cup Series pole position, and also had the highest finish by a woman in the Indy 500 and the Daytona 500. Despite this success, Patrick's best finish in her NASCAR career was 24th in the Cup Series and 10th in the Xfinity Series.

Fans have been quick to react to the news of Breidinger securing a full-time seat in the Craftsman Truck Series, however, some have made predictions that she might follow in the footsteps of Patrick's NASCAR career. One fan posted:

"Super happy for her but hoping it isn't [Hailie] Deegan 2.0 who was Danica [Patrick] 2.0 idk what the deal is women just struggle to succeed in nascar for some reason." [sic]
