In a new surprising feature from behind bars, Tory Lanez has hopped on DDG‘s latest freestyle, “Handling Business.” On the track he opens up a bit more about the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion—which he was found guilty of.

The song, which dropped late last night (Dec. 12), hears DDG rap about his wealth and standing on business, whereas Lanez spits about the challenges of prison and surprisingly his one regret from the night of the shooting incident.

“Surley my city talk about me highly/ Know that these bi**hes never can deny me/ The only one thing I regret on that night, is jumping up out of that pool with Kylie,” the Toronto artist raps, referring to the alleged moment that led to his later feud with Megan Thee Stallion and Meg’s former friend Kelsey. Reportedly, Meg, Lanez and Kelsey had come from Kylie Jenner‘s house ahead of the shooting.

Lanez also raps that he might be coming home from prison sooner than he thinks. He was handed a hefty 10-year sentence back in August 2023.

Hear his bars about Kylie Jenner around the 02:42-minute mark below. Meg has yet to address the new song.

Lanez’s decision to hop on the track while incarcerated has sparked mixed views. As some fans have continued to support him, others have expressed that he’s trying to profit from a painful chapter in Megan Thee Stallion’s life.

The Houston star has been vocal about her trauma and resilience following the shooting. During her set at Outside Lands Festival in the same month Lanez was sentenced, Meg addressed her doubters—who have consistently claimed Tory is innocent and that she lied.

“I just wanna say, f**k all my haters,” she declared. “None of that sh*t you was doing or saying broke me. None of that sh*t y’all be doing or saying to the Hotties broke them. And I want all of the Hotties to put they mothaf**king middle fingers up right now.”

Since his incarceration, Lanez has released a project titled, The Prison Tapes from his cell. At the time of its drop back in July, Lanez excitedly shared with his “Umbrella” fans that he had “cracked the code” when it comes to recording a studio-level sound from behind bars.

“It’s over. I done cracked the f**king code, man. This means that not even these prison walls can stop me from dropping new music. It’s crazy!” he said in a recorded call posted to Instagram at the time.

Shortly after releasing six tracks from the project, TMZ reported that his cell was raided and any equipment that could be used to record audio was confiscated. Confirming the swift action, Lanez admitted the rumors were true.

The Prison Tapes will be discontinued until further notice,” he stated via Instagram in September. “My cell was not raided and trashed because I learned how to record myself in prison or because I created ‘The Prison Tapes. I was shut down because the ‘HIGHER UPS’ figured out what I was really doing with ‘The Prison Tapes’ and how many inmates were being helped in a life changing way because of them.”
