Speculating that the fires were due to arson or a "planned attack", he said: "This is outta control!! This has to be a planned attack or some of these fires have to be arson—doesn’t make sense how they can keep starting in random areas! Just got a text to evacuate!! Please God, make the house and everyone else stay safe Big up all the Firefighters!!!!"

Telling his followers he left his home in West Hollywood on Friday to join his family at their home in West Hills, Liam then panned his camera to show a raging fire under the midday sun, which had "just started" as he admits: "This is crazy."

A whole host of celebrities have taken to social media, revealing that they have lost their homes in the wildfires. More than 130,000 people have been evacuated since Wednesday, with relentless flames spreading by high winds of up to 100mph, which initially stopped the firefighters from tackling them from the air.

The blazes have also thrown Hollywood's carefully orchestrated awards season into disarray. Awards ceremonies planned for this weekend have been postponed due to the fires. The AFI Awards, which were set to honour Wicked, Anora and other awards season contenders, had been scheduled for Friday.

Multi-millionairess, Paris Hilton was one of the first stars to announce she had lost her home. The socialite, who is donating $100,000 to the victims of the wildfires, told fans she was "heartbroken" to see her waterfront home destroyed.

Taking to Instagram alongside a clip of the charred remains of the property, she said: "Heartbroken to find out what happened to my house by seeing that it was burned to the ground on live TV."

In a lengthier post, Paris explained how the "unimaginable" destruction from the fires had left her overwhelmed, but that she was "holding onto gratitude that my family and pets are safe. Heartbroken beyond words."

She wrote. "Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience."
