Taylor Swift fans have sparked lively discussions online about why Kansas City Chiefs star and Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, was absent from her newly released Eras Tour Book.
The commemorative book, which highlights key moments from Swift's record-breaking tour, features plenty of insights into the tour's production but omits any mention of Kelce, despite his memorable surprise appearance during the Wembley concert in June.
Kelce shocked fans that night when he joined Swift onstage during her performance of "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart."
Sporting a three-piece suit and top hat, Kelce swept Swift off her feet carrying her to a red couch before theatrically fanning her, all in good fun.
The spontaneous segment had fans buzzing, but his absence from the book left many scratching their heads.
Fan reaction
Fans took to social media on Friday to share theories about the omission. Some speculated that the timeline of the book's production played a role.
"I'm surprised Travis' performance on stage is not in the book unless it happened too late," one fan wrote on X.
Another noted that no surprise guests were included, suggesting that the book's focus was strictly on Swift's perspective and vision for the tour.
"The book is about Swift's tour and what it means to her, not about her f***ing boyfriend," a third said.
Interestingly, Swift also skipped over more subtle references to Kelce that were part of the Eras Tour. This includes her "archer pose" during the song "So High School" from her The Tortured Poets Department album, which is rumored to be dedicated to Kelce.
As Swift's monumental 149-show tour concludes next weekend in Vancouver, the pop icon reflected in the book on how she revamped the tour midway to include songs from The Tortured Poets Department.
She described the process as "an exciting challenge" and credited her dedicated crew and performers for bringing her vision to life.
