Here we are again.
Donald Trump, twice impeached, will be the 47th president of the United States after defeating Kamala Harris on Tuesday.
Many took to social media to expresses their disappointment with the outcome of the election, such as Cardi B, while vocal Trump supporter Lil Pump celebrated. Some have also reiterated widely discussed fears of what a second Trump term may look like, particularly at a time in U.S. history when several generationally important issues are very much on the line.

Cardi B
“I hate y’all bad,” Cardi, who recently endorsed Harris with an appearance at a Milwaukee rally, wrote in an Instagram Stories update. Earlier into the evening, she said “a Hail Mary” was needed. Notably, Cardi, like many voters, earlier this year expressed her frustration-fueled disinterest in voting. At the time, the race was still between Biden and Trump, two candidates she deemed equally unworthy of support.
On Wednesday, Cardi shared a more extensive message. In it, she commended Harris for running a campaign with “honesty” and “integrity,” despite the odds being “already stacked against” her.
“No one has ever made me change my mind and you did,” Cardi wrote. “I never thought I would see the day that a woman of cold would be running for the President of the United States, but you have shown me, showed my daughters, and women across the country that anything is possible.”
50 Cent
50 was quick to congratulate Trump, writing on Instagram that he’s “leaving with the winner” despite not caring “how the fight goes.” In a recent Breakfast Club interview, 50 expressed hesitance with regards to delving into political matters. He also claimed Trump’s people offered him $3 million to perform at a rally.
Lil Pump
Vocal Trump supporter celebrated his preferred candidate winning the election, writing, "They put him in jail try to assassinate him and he’s still here and became president that’s a fucking warrior MAGA..."
Denzel Curry
Denzel Curry took to the site formerly known as Twitter to write, "We been through this before will be straight" and "A Convict Can’t Vote but a Convict Can Be President."
Adam McKay
“Who would have guessed lying about Biden’s cognitive health for two years, refusing to do an open convention for a new nominee, never mentioning public healthcare and embracing fracking, the Cheneys, and a yea-long slaughter of children in Gaza wouldn’t be a winning strategy?” the Big Short and Vice director said in a tweet. Later, he argued that it was “time to abandon” the Democratic Party.

“God bless us all,” a message shared to the creator of The Wire creator’s X account reads. “Even the scrotes and shitheels.”
Shyne
Former Bad Boys Record rapper and current leader of the Belize United Democratic Party Shyne, legal name Moses Michael Levi Barrow, congratulated Trump on his win, writing, "The Opposition and people of Belize congratulate our friends in the U.S. on having fair, free and peaceful elections. We congratulate the President elect of the United States, Donald J Trump, on his victory."

“So what does it mean?” the Halloween franchise star and Everything Everywhere All at Once Oscar winner wrote on Instagram. “It means a sure return to a more restrictive, some fear draconian time. Many fear their rights will be impeded and denied. Many minority groups and young people will be afraid. Gay and trans people will be more afraid. We know that many women will now find it difficult to get the reproductive healthcare that they need and deserve. For all those people, there will be those who will help you. Me included.”
Wendell Pierce
The Wire and Treme actor pointed to broader political infrastructure concerns in one of several post-election tweets, noting that “elections have consequences.” In this case, Pierce added, the Supreme Court “will be changed for a generation.” Pierce also shared an extensive message of gratitude for Harris, praising the current VP for running “a great campaign.”
