After the two world leaders sat in front of the press during their meeting in the Oval Office, journalist Aaron Rupar took to X, formerly known as Twitter to point out — alongside a close-up of the limb — that he was "Scrolling Getty and couldn't help but notice this photo of a huge bruise on Trump's hand today."
"It appears to be an IV bruise and it happens a lot to Trump. There are a lot of pics with bandages and bruises. You would think our press would be inquiring about his health," a second person pointed out.
"Look closely. His thumbnails are blue," a third chimed in.
"He may be getting IV injections of B12. I read that somewhere," another mused.
"Rotting from the inside out," an additional user added.
While someone caught a clear shot, Trump did his best to keep the mark under wraps as Macron was even seen clutching the fractured hand.
While the wound caught people's attention, so did the awkward meeting between the public servants.
During their chat with the media, Trump claimed Europe was being paid back 60 percent of the aid it contributed to Kyiv over the last three years of war.
Macron interrupted his U.S. counterpart, adding, "No, in fact, to be frank, we paid. We paid 60 percent of the total effort. It was through, like the U.S., loans, guarantees, grants. And we provided real money, to be clear."
"If you believe that, it's okay with me," Trump replied.
The former minister of economics also praised The Apprentice star's return to power. "I think the arrival of President Trump is a game-changer," Macron stated. "And I think he has the deterrence capacity of the U.S. to reengage with Russia."
"We want peace," he added. "And I think the initiative of President Trump is a very positive one. But my message was to say be careful because we need something substantial for Ukraine."
"The fact that there are Europeans that are ready to engage to provide for these security guarantees and now there's a clear American message that the U.S., as an ally, is ready to provide that solidarity for that approach — that's a turning point," Macron added. "And that is one of the great areas of progress that we've made during this trip."
