Tulisa Contostavlos is no stranger to inking her body, but her tattoos have landed her in hot water.

The 36-year-old made her debut on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! on Sunday night, and revealed her determination to be crowned Queen of the Jungle as she and Coronation Street icon Alan Halsall raced to victory in the first challenge. The duo pipped Danny Jones and Barry McGuigan to become the first camp leaders, and were given the luxurious beds while their fellow celebs were in hammocks.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted that Tulisa delivered her famous pose she established on The X Factor, as she showed off her tattoo that simply read, ‘The Female Boss’. The ink landed the N-Dubz star in hot water when she served as judge on the ITV singing competition, with viewers complaining to Ofcom that she was promoting her perfume, which was also called The Female Boss.

“I was showing off my tattoo long before The X Factor. It’s always been my trademark and it’s always been my nickname,” she said in response to the hundreds of complaints, but was forced to cover it up on the show after the media regulator launched an investigation. Her loyal fanbase were delighted to see she reprised the iconic stance for the opening credits of I’m A Celeb, after the controversial row.

Tulisa has five other tattoos on her body, including one on her forearm that is a tribute to her late uncle, Byron Contostavlos, who helped launch her music career. The design features a microphone and music notes, with the words: “RIP Uncle B N Dubz for Life.” The former Mungo Jerry musician, who was the father of Tulisa’s cousin and N-Dubz bandmate Dappy, died in 2007 from a heart attack.

Her raciest ink is located on her lower stomach, just above her bikini line, and she previously swore she would never reveal what the design was. However, the tattoo was spotted in 2013, as she partied in Marbella, and it simply reads “Lucky You” with a four-leaf clover. She called it her “secret” tattoo, and in 2012, she vowed: “I've got five, but one of them is a secret tattoo that you don't know what it is or where it is. Let's move on.”

In another tribute to her Female Boss brand, she has some powerful lyrics from the first track of her album, The Female Boss, inked on her lower back. “She is strong when she is weak / She is brave when she is scared / She is humble when she is victorious,” it reads.

Tulisa couldn't help but replicate her iconic pose in the IAC camp

In addition to the other designs, she has a large winged unicorn on her right shoulder, which was done to cover up two older tattoos. Tulisa previously had a ying-yang symbol, as well as her name in Greek, but she opted for a fresher and more dramatic design to cover them up.

Last year, she revealed she had more ink, and unveiled a new tattoo on her neck. She shared a snap of the image of a huge wolf on Instagram, and said it was one of her favorite designs to date. “THE LONE WOLF .. #watchingmyownback #eyesinthebackofmyhead #lilswim&chills #newtattfor2023 #issamood F*ck fangs this little Wolf got bangs,” she captioned the snap.
