TV star accuses co-star of 'flushing 8-year friendship down the toilet'

RHOBH season 14 is here. Dorit 2.0 has been unleashed and although the scenes are not quite ‘GOODBYE KYLE’, things are getting heated between Dorit Kemsley and Kyle Richards.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars used to be besties. Ever since Dorit joined the show eight years ago, things seemed to go swimmingly (for the most part) between the pair. But, their relationship looks a whole lot different nowadays. Despite their BravoCon drama, the two are still sharing a screen in season 14, and a dinner table. But, it’s safe to say they’re not on good terms as Dorit tells Kyle: “It’s time for you to f***ing listen.” They’re both going through break-ups this season, but doesn’t seem to be connecting them whatsoever.

Kyle and Dorit: ‘Text-gate’ and ‘manipulation’

RHOBH season 14 sees Kyle and Dorit attempt to have a conversation or two but things really aren’t going well for them.

During episode 3, Kyle tells Dorit: “I don’t know when you and I are going to speak. But I would like to have a conversation because I don’t want there to be awkwardness.”

Dorit agrees, adding: “Obviously you and I…. we barely got started and I think it’s important we address the elephant in the room… everybody knows that things are going on between you and I… everybody knows that at Sutton’s party, you and I had a conversation that got heated and then you stormed off…”

Kyle then brings up the straw that broke the camel’s back for her: “The final end for me was when you showed my text to everybody.”

The show provides a flashback to Dorit telling her co-stars Kyle had text her “basically trying to silence her,” calling Kyle’s message “manipulative” and “calculated.”

According to Dorit, the message came through the night before the reunion after she’d been “blanked by Kyle for months and months.”

Dorit explains: “To me, it felt like why on earth would I not be open, honest, and truthful in the place I’m supposed to be those exact things?”

She tells Kyle: “I have never shared something you confided in me.”

There seems to be some kind of saving grace, though, as Kyle says: “I don’t think you are that person. I don’t.”

But, things take another turn when Dorit brings up some comments her RHOBH co-star has made to the press. Kyle said: “Yes we’re friends, but right now we’re not good,” on a podcast.

Dorit says ‘grace time is over’

Dorit’s new personality is in full flow in season 14. She explains how wants to express the “depth of her hurt and pain” to Kyle.

One major crack in their friendship came about when Kyle said the pair’s “friendship was exaggerated.”

Speaking on Amazon Live Kyle addressed Dorit’s complaint of how they “used to go on trips together” but don’t anymore. Kyle said she could only recall a “couple’s trip” she’d been on with Dorit, adding: “That was just flat out an exaggeration.”

But, Kyle defends her comments, saying: “I was reacting to the way I was being treated by you…”

Kyle asked for a little “grace” from Dorit during the show, adding how the last two years of her life had been super hard.

But, Dorit claps back: “I think I did… a little bit too much… grace time is over.”

Bravocon ranking turned sour

It’s not just Dorit and Kyle involved in their friendship breakdown, but people around them try to lend their opinions, too.

Speaking during episode 3, Erika Jayne says she’d spoken to Kyle that day and explained how the “BravoCon thing” to her, “was not planned or malicious.”

The show takes us back to the moment Dorit was asked by Andy Cohen to “rank the Richards sisters from favorite to least favorite” before Dorit says: “Well, Kyle is definitely last,” as Kyle sits right beside her.

She adds: “Kathy is definitely first…”

Erika adds how she didn’t think Dorit’s intentions were to “purposely” hurt Kyle.

Dorit chimes in: “No, but I can tell you the things that she’s done to me have been on purpose and definitely haven’t been a joke.”

She lists times she felt offended by Kyle including “…after her fashion show in New York City,” “in Aspen when I sided with Erika,” “…after the reunion with Kathy where she didn’t speak to me for six months.”

“Kyle’s iced me out so many times over the last few years… you don’t treat friends the way she’s treated me,” adds Dorit.

Erika urges the two to “sit down” adding: “Both of you need to be heard.”

Although Dorit stands by her comments being a “joke” Kyle says it’s just a “piece of the puzzle” adding how there were “a lot things” that left her thinking: “Enough, already.”
