Tamra Judge has been at the center of almost all of the drama during RHOC season 18. This year’s episodes have made for some awkward viewing for fans as accusations fly around the group. Standing by her side throughout it all is her husband, Eddie Judge. This fall, Eddie touches on some issues of his own during a podcast episode, telling his fans about his “scary” heart condition issue.

Eddie, 51, and Tamra Judge, 57, have been Real Housewives of Orange County stars for years. Tamra is something of an OG and her fame has unfolded into she and her husband both having their own respective podcasts outside the Bravo show. Tamra and Eddie are known for being gym lovers and have their own business, CUT Fitness.

Eddie’s heart issue ‘came out of nowhere’

Speaking on his podcast with Edwin Arroyave, The Eds, Eddie shares how he played sports and learned discipline, as well as “pushing through the pain” throughout his youth.

The RHOC star didn’t start lifting weights until after high school.

Eddie explains how he got into bodybuilding and would eat “burritos, hamburgers,” and other junk foods which “didn’t work out well.”

But, he later took nutrition classes during college and found out how important it was for “longevity, growth,” and much more.

He goes on to explain how, despite keeping fit all his life, a heart condition “came out of nowhere.”

Eddie gives some background on the time he found out about his illness: “I was in the fourth or fifth, maybe sixth year of the gym

Eddie was “venturing out and trying new things,” and “looking for a different motivation experience to share with clients.”

Then, one day, he began experiencing “weird episodes” where he “couldn’t breathe.” He says he “felt like he had asthma,” and “knew something was wrong.”

“I thought it was my lungs because I couldn’t breathe,” the RHOC star adds.

Leading up to his appointment with a cardiologist, Eddie said his heart rate was sometimes at “200 beats per minute.”

In 2018, he had four heart operations in four months. Eddie was diagnosed with AFib (Atrial fibrillation) the following year.

Eddie always wondered about heart issue

As well as dealing with the AFib diagnosis, and multiple medical procedures, Eddie explains how his mental health was affected.

He said he was left asking himself: “What did I do to create this heart issue, AFib?”

“I can’t help but think that maybe pushing myself so hard, so long, so many years, might have contributed to the issue,” he adds.

Eddie was told by doctors the condition is “partially hereditary” and is more common in “endurance athletes.”

He explains how he didn’t realize he would be considered an “endurance athlete” but had a wake-up call and came to the conclusion he was “pushing himself really heard.”

Eddie says he’s “still learning,” and has “completely changed his way of looking at fitness.”

During his AFib ordeal, the gym owner explains how he experienced “depression,” and that it affected his marriage with Tamra.

“I’m looking for longevity now,” he tells his co-host, Edwin.
