Tamra Judge has been at the center of almost all of the drama during RHOC season 18. This yearâs episodes have made for some awkward viewing for fans as accusations fly around the group. Standing by her side throughout it all is her husband, Eddie Judge. This fall, Eddie touches on some issues of his own during a podcast episode, telling his fans about his âscaryâ heart condition issue.
Eddie, 51, and Tamra Judge, 57, have been Real Housewives of Orange County stars for years. Tamra is something of an OG and her fame has unfolded into she and her husband both having their own respective podcasts outside the Bravo show. Tamra and Eddie are known for being gym lovers and have their own business, CUT Fitness.
Eddieâs heart issue âcame out of nowhereâ
Speaking on his podcast with Edwin Arroyave, The Eds, Eddie shares how he played sports and learned discipline, as well as âpushing through the painâ throughout his youth.

But, he later took nutrition classes during college and found out how important it was for âlongevity, growth,â and much more.
He goes on to explain how, despite keeping fit all his life, a heart condition âcame out of nowhere.â
Eddie gives some background on the time he found out about his illness: âI was in the fourth or fifth, maybe sixth year of the gym⊠CUT Fitness⊠I was training clients, I was transitioning from cycling to running and it was exciting to meâŠâ
Eddie was âventuring out and trying new things,â and âlooking for a different motivation experience to share with clients.â
Then, one day, he began experiencing âweird episodesâ where he âcouldnât breathe.â He says he âfelt like he had asthma,â and âknew something was wrong.â
âI thought it was my lungs because I couldnât breathe,â the RHOC star adds.
Leading up to his appointment with a cardiologist, Eddie said his heart rate was sometimes at â200 beats per minute.â
In 2018, he had four heart operations in four months. Eddie was diagnosed with AFib (Atrial fibrillation) the following year.
Eddie always wondered about heart issue
As well as dealing with the AFib diagnosis, and multiple medical procedures, Eddie explains how his mental health was affected.
He said he was left asking himself: âWhat did I do to create this heart issue, AFib?â
âI canât help but think that maybe pushing myself so hard, so long, so many years, might have contributed to the issue,â he adds.
Eddie was told by doctors the condition is âpartially hereditaryâ and is more common in âendurance athletes.â
He explains how he didnât realize he would be considered an âendurance athleteâ but had a wake-up call and came to the conclusion he was âpushing himself really heard.â
Eddie says heâs âstill learning,â and has âcompletely changed his way of looking at fitness.â
During his AFib ordeal, the gym owner explains how he experienced âdepression,â and that it affected his marriage with Tamra.
âIâm looking for longevity now,â he tells his co-host, Edwin.
