The Bachelorette’s Katie Thurston has finally found her one true love. She gushed about her fiance amid the devastating Palisades fires, saying he was there to help when she “hyperventilated”.
Katie Thurston may not have found everlasting love on The Bachelorette. However, it was worth to wait to meet her fiance, because he always manages to make sure he’s with her at the right time.
Katie Thurston was evacuated from her home
Katie Thurston had to be evacuated from her New York home, and was left in shock. Within hours of the fires starting to spread, she and her fiance, Jeff Arcuri, packed a bag and had to flee elsewhere.
“My heart goes out to those impacted by the fires here in L.A. County,” she wrote on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, January 8. “Waking up this morning and seeing all the updates breaks my heart.”
She added, “I couldn’t sleep this morning hearing the constant emergency vehicles and strong winds and realizing just 10 miles away, destruction is happening. This is f***ing scary.”

She has immense ‘gratitude’ for her fiance
Katie has expressed how her fiance always manages to be with her at the right time. He was there for her when her cat, Tommy, passed away, and was there when she hyperventilated about the fires.
She wrote, “He remained calm and was able to take the lead on what needed to happen next. The gratitude I have for this man is beyond what words can even begin to explain.”
Although the couple is usually long-distance, the two revealed in a June 2024 social media post that she was dating comedian Jeff Arcuri, who she became engaged to just two months later.
